Leading them is the Principal, Shubhangi Karvir who has over 20 years of teaching experience ranging from lower KG to the first year of university! Shubhangiji has taught in Nasik, Baroda and Mumbai. She received the Best Teacher Award in Pre Primary for 3 consecutive years.

She says, “I’ve taught so many different children, but always wanted to reach out to the slum kids. I had even visited a slum at Powai before and tried to draw out the kids but they would not stay. The Dharavi SSRVM has given me a structured environment to fulfil my own dream of reaching these children! I love my team and am ever indebted to them!”
